There was once a beautiful Advent banner hanging in the chapel of Candler School of Theology. The banner shows the profiles of two pregnant women facing each other, bellies almost touching. It was placed in such a way that light filtered through the images of the women's bodies, producing a sense of mystery and power. Its almost as though God's light is flowing through these two women to you and me - indeed to the whole world. What an interesting image!
